The entire play takes place in Dennis' apartment on Manhattan's Upper West Side. It is a typical young bachelor's apartment with many records, sports magazines, underground comic books, and sports equipment. It is rather shabby and impersonal, other than photos on one wall. The apartment is a symbol and metaphor for Dennis's stage in life and his personality.
