Uchendu sees that Okonkwo is depressed over the harsh punishment of exile for seven years from his homeland. He tells Okonkwo that he is not the only man in the world with troubles. Everyone has problems, some worse than exile. He basically tells Okonkwo to pull himself together and stop feeling sorry for himself.
