How is it that Pete decides to take a trip to Atlanta?

Pete and Carson stay up half the night talking about their people and telling stories about Atlanta. Pete stays up the rest of the night as he is unable to get Atlanta and his people of his mind. The next morning he announces he has decided to take one last trip to his home town.
