Why does the narrator seem jealous when she catches first John, and then Jennie, looking at the wallpaper?

The narraor thinks that only she knows the secrets of the wallpaper and does not want Jennie and John to know the secrets too. She’s jealous when they look at the wallpaper because she thinks that they too might be trying to help the woman in the wallpaper.
