What is "Hems Corner" in the novel, The Wrong Family?

Hems Corner is the name Juno gives the closet where she is hiding at the Crouches'. Though the closet begins as a temporary hiding place until Juno can safely exit the home, she soon finds comfort in the space and decides to stay. Under the carpet of Hems Corner, Juno later discovers the crawlspace.
