Who is Asma in the novel, The Wrong End of the Telescope?

Asma is Sumaiya’s oldest daughter. She is a serious child who has ambitions to become a doctor, and is interested in speaking to Mina about the medical profession. Sumaiya asks Mina to take care of Asma after her death, and Mina proceeds to write to her regularly after leaving Lesbos.
