What kind of relationship does Mina have with her brother, Mazen, in the novel, The Wrong End of the Telescope?

Mazen is the only member of Mina's family with whom she has had regular contact since the anger she began to feel as a result of repressing her emotions and identity in her youth caused a major break with her mother. Mazen is a warm and comical character who seems to be a major source of support for Mina while she is in Lesbos; he flies to meet her there from nearby Lebanon.
