What are the main events that happened in the book ''The Wonderful Wizard of Oz?

The main conflict in the novel is survival.... getting from one place to the next in order to get home, which is Dorothy's quest. The resolution occurs when she finally meets the wizard and learns she's always had the power to return.... she simply had to find it within herself.
