Frankie purchases the Last Best Place in Montana after she gets out of her treatment program. It is run down, but she along with her friends and family help to build it back up. Other female Vietnam veterans end up finding their way there and they have rap sessions and heal. Eventually Frankie earns a degree in psychology so she can help these women more. It is a place of healing.
