Who is Baronet Sir Percival Glyde from The Woman in White and what is their importance?

Sir Felix Glyde is Percival's father. Unfortunately, Glyde never married Percival's mother, Cecilia Jane Elster, which left Percival ineligible to inherit his father's estate. Percival, however, forged evidence of his parents' marrige in the Old Welmingham Church registry, forcing him to spend the rest of his life protecting the lie.
