Bullmer claims that his wife found out about the affair he was having and confronted him after the reception. He says that he tried to calm her, but she fell and hit her head on the coffee table. He told Carrie that Anne was already dead when he brought her to Carrie in a suitcase but the suitcase came unlatched while Carrie was dragging it through the suite and Carrie believed she had seen the woman’s eyes flutter. Carrie threw the woman overboard, resulting in the splash that Lo heard.
