What is the plot of the Witch of Blackbird Pond?

16-year-old Katherine Tyler, Kit Tyler, leaves her home in Barbados after the death of her grandfather. A 50-year-old man tries to marry her so she flees Wethersfield, Connecticut to live with her Aunt Rachel and Uncle Matthew in a Puritan community. The book actually has little to do with witches rather than conformity.
