What is an example of symbolism in the novel, The Witch’s Heart?

One example of symbolism is Angrboda's heart, which is a symbol of her love. Loki gives it back to her when she thinks she is incapable of feeling love for anyone. In turn, she gives it to Hel so that her daughter can go on to love Baldur in the new world.
