The novel's climax comes in Turks and Caicos when Samantha goes against Todd’s advice and announces that she plans to invest in Steve’s product. Todd tells Samantha she cannot do that because he has promised that idea to Sunny Day, another client. Wendy and her lawyer husband, Harvey, step in and arrange things to that Samantha can invest in Steve’s product and Steve does not get into trouble for misleading investors about his product.
