What impresses Morgan about the town of Glevum in the book, The Winter King: A Novel of Arthur?

Although the town of Glevum stinks of feces, it is still an impressive town of paved streets and stone buildings, impressing the village. King Tewdric's soldiers wear impressive Roman battle dress. At the center of town stands the vast white, pillared building in which the council meets. Nimue finds it a bad omen, for such hubris is the cause of the Romans' fall.
