Who is Alastair Tudsbury from The Winds of War and what is their importance?

Alastair Tudsbury, known as "Talky" to all his friends, is a British journalist. He continually pesters Victor about the need for American intervention in the war. Talky is described as outspoken but well-respected. He always appears able and willing to go after the story, even when it takes him into dangerous situations.
