What does the acronym, DOGS, stand for in the novel, The Widower’s Tale?

DOGS is the acronym for Denounce Our Greedy Society, the eco-terrorist group to which Turo belongs. Dogs are often though to protect one's house and property, so the name given to the eco-terrorist group may symbolize the group's believe that they are protecting something too.
