What type of butterflies does Tom discover in his garage in the novel, The Whisper Man?

Even though Tom does not realize it at the time, the brightly colored butterflies that he sees in the garage are there because the remains of a dead body are stored there. The pathologist identifies the butterflies as corpse moths.
