The main character (protagonist) in The Westing Game, is a little girl by the nick-name of Turtle. She's 13 years old and lives in her sister's very blonde, very beautiful shadow. Her family are well off and Turtle feels that her family are disappointed in her. She wears a long braid down the back and kicks anyone (hard) who dares to tug on it. Her sister Angela seems to make the mother happier than Turtle who is not into keeping up appearances. Turtle ends up solving the mystery because she is very brave, has a sense of loyalty, and a sharp intelligence.
