Who is Tai-me from The Way to Rainy Mountain and what is their importance?

Tai-me is both a character and an object. As a character Tai-me is the person responsible for altering Kiowa history. Tai-me offered the Kiowa a new start and aided the tribe in transitioning to a new home. Tai-me then became the central figure of worship in the Sun-Dance.
