Describe the fears, or the lack of fears, that the characters articulate in Section 3.

While all of the characters express their emotions in Section 3, prominent among these emotions are the characters' specific fears. In a general sense, the male characters seem to fear each other or at least what the others are capable of. As each of the characters seek their own successes in life they fear the others becoming successful and happy before they do. For instance, Bernard appears envious of Louis formidable skills as a writer, whereas Louis still wonders how much his accent and Australian heritage limit him in life.
