When the book is told in third person, the narrator talks in a very professional manner, speaking in a matter-of-fact manner about the events in Bogus's life. When Bogus narrates in first person, he uses very casual language, filling his speech with slang and swearing. He often goes off on flights of fancy, narrating events as he imagines them unfolding. He also goes into great detail describing his genitals.
