At MIT, Adrian finds an outlet for his intellectual pursuits. His freshman year, though, Adrian does not attempt to be sociable. At MIT, Adrian focuses on schoolwork and continues to devote energy to his physique, but he maintains a hostile personality in his interactions with other students. Adrian’s social life essentially is confined to his conversations with Leonard.
