Who is Luciana in the novel, The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street?

Luciana Beiderman is Mr. Beiderman's late daughter who died in a tragic taxi accident six years ago. She played the same violin that was later given to Isa Vanderbeeker and they also enjoyed playing some of the same pieces, drawing a parallel between the two girls that Mr. Beiderman found increasingly painful.
