How are Bonnie and Elena different in the novel, The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening and the Struggle?

Bonnie is one Elena's closest friends in Fells Church and is everything that Elena is not. She is small and unathletic, a dreamer and also a psychic. Bonnie claims to be descended from Druids of Ancient Scotland, and through the course of the story uses her psychic powers several times in the forms of premonitions, spells and trances to help Elena as she moves through the story.
