Mrs. Hutchinson's dialogue is almost completely made up of criticisms. She clearly dislikes her husband's work and the way it takes him out of the house for long periods of time--although it is hard to understand why she would want him around when she has little respect for him and finds him "incorrigible" (115). As the racial epithets she uses to refer to outcastes make clear, if there is anything she despises more than her husband, it is the outcastes.
