The Untouchable (novel)
What does the description of the town as Bakha enters it emphasize, and how does this foreshadow what will happen later, when Bakha bumps into someone?

The description of the town emphasizes how overwhelming it is to Bakha. He has not been there in a month, and it is crowded, full of smells, sights, and sounds that he does not get exposed to most of the time. He is excited and engaged with soaking it all in--and so it is no surprise that he forgets to announce his presence and take care not to physically contact any of the bustling crowd.
