Bakha is confused by the idea that Jesus could be the son of God. He has never heard of Rama, for instance, having a son. But he does respond to the idea of Christ having sacrificed himself, because he recalls his mother making animal sacrifices in order to appease Kali. He is also very drawn to the idea that Jesus sees all human beings as equal.
