Each stanza contains eight lines, each of which is a single sentence spread across the lines. This further increases the sense of continuity within the stanzas. The lines are written in rhyming couplets, meaning that they are in pairs where one line rhymes with the next. This leads to a style where most lines have simple line-endings to make it possible for the rhyme to be consistent. Although overall the language is complex, each line ends on a more straightforward note.
