Mother swan from The Trumpet of the Swan is the loving mother where her family is concerned. She is the one who notices when Louis hatches that he has no voice. She has the talent to calm her over dramatic husband and the rest of the family. While she loves Louis dearly she does see that he will have problem down the road.
