Red Egon is a prominent antifascist advocate. When the Austrian chancellor capitulates, Red realizes that he is going to be killed, and he unfurls a large anti-Reich banner on the top of a building. When the Nazis come to kill him, he commits suicide by jumping off of it. He serves as an inspiration for Franz's later political activities.
