The Things We Cannot Say
The dreidel is a symbol of compassion. An elderly grandmother whose grandson is on the autism spectrum helps Alice while Eddie is having his tantrum in the grocery store by distracting him with a dreidel. She also tells Alice she is doing a good job. Other people had only criticized Alice and suggested that Eddie needed a spanking.
