What issues did Perhac raise when he filed Hinton's appeal?

When Perhac filed Hinton's appeal, he raised several issues. He said that Judge Garrett made an error in combining the two capital cases and not granting the motion to sever. In addition, he said the court never proved that Hinton was linked to the two murders, because they had no direct evidence he was there.
