Who are Lily's Parents?

Lily's parents come from humble means, and barely survive the great Australian Depression. Lily's mother is sharp and kindhearted, and encourages her daughter's association with the Trenthams. Lily's father, Sam, is quiet, pensive, and unimpressed by the glamorous Trenthams. He is from the country, and enjoys reading and completing puzzles. Lily's parents live in a small one bedroom home until they are evicted after Sam injures his legs while working.
