What is the theme in The Stranger by Albert Camus?

Camus wrote about the absurdity of society. The Stranger reflects Camus’ assertion that there is not any inherit meaning to life. Life is, in fact, relegated to chaos and trying to find logic within the chaos is what is absurd.
