There was a problem which perplexed the archaeological team, which they had to solve before the dig begins in The Tell. What was this problem, and how did the team solve it?

The team had to decide exactly where it was going to begin excavating. They only had funding for five years, and Cullinane had already determined it would take longer. In order to finance the rest of the money, they would need to quickly uncover areas of interest.
