Why does Archie wonder aloud to Thea about why he and Wunsch are in Moonstone?

Archie wonders why he and Wunsch are in Moonstone because nothing is happening there and there is nothing to learn. Both men are intellectual, curious people who have passions that are not satisfied in such a simple town.
