What is the final plan that will allow Marsile to defeat Charlemagne's men?

Marsile will send hostages, giving Charlemagne false hope of surrender. Charlemagne will leave Roland and Oliver to protect the land while Charlemagne returns home to Aix. Marsile's men will defeat and kill Roland.
