What feelings did Gretel experience when she and her husband bought their own ranch?

When Gretel had her husband bought a ranch it made her realize that her days of bachelor-type life were over. She had her own home to take care of and all the responsibility that came with it. While she was excited for the new life she also missed the simplicity of the old life.
