How did Gretel's future husband propose?

Gretel's future husband proposed by walking up and asking "Do you want to get hitched?" He had planned to ask while they were crossing Cougar Pass, but unfortunately time had gotten away from him and he wasn't able to. He made up for his unromantic proposal by serenading Gretel with sand crane calls when they got into camp that night.
