How did Gretel feel when she was struck by lightning?

Gretel described being struck by lightning as feeling like sequins had been poured down her legs. She also felt like an electrical charge had hit her in the back of the head. For quite awhile after getting struck Gretel felt a burning sensation in the back of her head and on her feet.
