How did Gretel feel when she was left alone to herd the sheep?

When Gretel was left alone to herd the sheep she felt overwhelmed. She had so much to do to make sure the sheep were headed the right way and that she didn't lose any to coyotes. She also felt excited to see all of the wide open space of Wyoming.
