The Sniper

Describe the incident where the sniper sees that he has killed his brother at the very end of the story. Do you think the man killed was the sniper's real brother or a brother-like friend?

We are not privy to the sniper's reaction or emotions after he realizes that he has just killed his brother. I have always believed that his victim was his brother.... not merely a friend.
