How is Olivia's view of the Lawrence Stern paintings different from how Olivia views them?

For Noel and Nancy, the paintings only represent money and nothing to do with value or sentimental worth. Olivia, on the other hand, believes they should leave Penelope alone and drop the subject altogether as she sees plainly through their motivations. Fortunately, Penelope does, too.
