In Sea of Monsters, Chiron arrives with a centaur herd to save the day. Luke was just about to get the upper hand with Percy in their battle. Chiron and the others rescue all of them and take them back to Chrion's camper trailer. It has worked to the centaur's advantage in that Luke was not prepared to give chase, so they were able to take advantage of his disorganization and mount a rescue.
