In The Sea of Monsters, Hermes gives Percy a bag, a thermos with the four winds in it, and a bottle of Minotaur vitamins. He knows that Percy and Annabeth are not supposed to be going on this quest, but he also knows that being the daughter of Ares, saving someone is not in her best interests. He is hoping that Percy will help Luke.
