The Scarlet Letter Is Hester Prynne a good Puritan, and what are some examples?

Hester fashions clothing for the poor, she assists the sick and needy, and in Chapter 13, we learn that she now dresses in traditional fashion... covering her hair and wearing plain clothing. From her appearance and deeds, she would be deemed a good Puritan.
