what is the Internal Conflict in the story

The novel's internal conflict can be found in Will's search for his own identity. Will never knew his parents, and as a result, he grew up bullied..... ashamed of not knowing his heritage. Over the course of the novel, he will need to put aside that shame and use his gifts to grow into the man he is intended to be.
