What is the plot for the book The River by Gary Paulsen for the 9th chapter

In Chapter Nine, Brian and Derek have been in the wilderness for four days. They've gathered enough food and wood to last several weeks, and have created a shelter that is warm and comfortable. Brian, however, begins to think everything has happened too easily and worries that Derek is not really learning what he needs to to teach survival.
