How does Brian make fire?

First Brian finds some birches and shreds dry birch bark until it is like hair. He adds to this until he has a ball of fluff about three inches in diameter. He adds dry grass and works it almost into flour, making a hole in the middle. He gathers wood to make a fire pit and places his nest of bark and grass in it. He then strikes the flint until the fire starts.
